About RichardRichard is a composer and conductor based in London. Richard was educated at Winchester College as a music scholar, and then studied music at Cambridge University. He has studied composition with Giles Swayne, Michael Finnissy and James Weeks, as well as participating in seminars with John Rutter, John Woolrich and Howard Skempton.
Upon graduation, Richard was appointed organist at St Magnus-the-Martyr church in the City of London, and in 2008 was appointed to the post of Director of Music at Holy Trinity Northwood, a large family parish church in Greater London. Furthermore, Richard has had a number of new choral pieces premiered by the Platinum Consort. In addition to these duties, Richard has conducted and written for musicals at various venues around London’s Theatreland and beyond. Richard holds the MA in music from Cambridge University and the AMusTCL diploma in music from Trinity College, London.
